YASSMIN GONZÁLEZ-VÉLEZ obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Economics in 1996 (Magna Cum Laude) and a Juris Doctor degree in 1999, both from the University of Puerto Rico. In 1998, Ms. González completed a summer program in Chinese Law sponsored by Duquesne University School of Law and The China University of Political Science and Law.
Ms. González concentrates her law practice in Labor and Employment, Employment Discrimination and Equal Opportunity Employment, and civil and commercial litigation and heads the Firm's Labor and Employment Practice Group. Ms. González has participated in numerous negotiations of collective bargaining agreements in the public and private sectors. She also has ample experience in administrative litigation and arbitration and is a frequent speaker of labor and employment law topics.
Ms. González is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the U.S. District Court for the District of Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit and is also a Notary Public.
